Preparing for winter...

.....otherwise known as Nutcracker costumes. My commission came through and I'm creating a collection of pieces for a local school to use in their production of the Nutcracker. Of course in the midst of all this I've begun my intermediate level classes in belly dancing, I'm still ballet dancing, the Mists of Avalon shoot just happened on the 12th and I'm making a few costumes for Halloween.
Yes I know, I'm a bit nuts, but as soon as snow hits the ground everything will quiet down and I can have some play time.

Your sewing designs and needlework are beautiful! I used to sew a lot, so I know the patience and dedication it takes to master each item, and from the images in your gallery, I can see that you have done that very well! :)

Yes indeed I'm very interested with your gallery. First for the photo manipulation, which since my introduction to this amazing field of art I've been blown away with it. Also your fantasy worlds are wonderful to get lost in. The origins collection is something I really enjoy. I'm glad to know there are other people out there that having fantasy worlds evolving in their heads all the time like I do.
Mostly mine are in written form and then I make the costumes for my characters.
Keep up the great work.

Oh, yes, you are definitely not alone, Tonya! :lmao: I had never heard of "photo manipulation" as an art form either until about a year ago... amazing what you can do with it! And yes, I have fantasy worlds rolling around in my head all day every day of my life... much to the dismay of my employer - lol! I'm glad you are enjoying the "Origins" series... I have the final piece that these are ALL incorporated into about 3/4 finished, but it's daunting sometimes :O_o: I wish I had time to still make costumes and find my own model, but alas, I don't have that luxury these days. :(

:shrug: Oh well... maybe someday I'll get enough of this fantasy stuff all out of my system so that I will finally be able to get on with reality...

...but I hope not...;)
